The Swede had built up a stack of 1,622,000 by the close of play, over 300,000 clear of his closest rival, Germany's Florian Langmann who has 1,304,000. Long time chip leader Michael Tureniec is still very much in the hunt alongside yet another Swede, Joel Nordkvist who have 1,089,000 and 1,236,000 respectively.

A total of 24 players will return today for the penultimate day when the field will play down to a final table of eight. Among the two dozen are Briton John Eames (570,000), Wolverhampton's most consistent performer since Steve Bull, Surinder Sunar (149,000), Ireland's Charles McIntyre (232,000) and Juha Helppi who'll return as the short stack with (142,000).

Everyone is guaranteed a pay day of at least €11,401. Those that make it to the final table will be guaranteed at least €39,775 with the winner walking away with €496,271.
