EPT Copenhagen final table set – Linde leads

EPT Copenhagen final table set – Linde leads
Saturday, 26 February 2011

Sweden's Per Linde is in prime position to take the EPT Copenhagen" title after dominating the penultimate day and building up an enormous chip lead.

With just eight players left Linde has a stack of 4,980,000, over 3.1 million ahead of nearest rival, Kevin Iacofano who has 1,844,000 chips. Apart from Linde the big mover on day four was Juha Helppi. Last year's EPT Barcelona High Roller champion started the day as the short stack with just 142,000 chips but by the close had built it up to 1,470,000 putting him right back in contention.

Long time chip leader Michael Tureniec is still in the hunt, as is John Eames. Southport's finest will start the day sixth in chips on 1,060,000 giving him plenty of ammunition to make a decent run at the" title. Despite winning the €2k event at EPT Vienna Eames has surprisingly never made the money in an EPT Main Event, something he has more than put right in Denmark.

“I was pretty short around the bubble and thought a min-cash was likely but it picked up,” the 22-year-old said. “It’s great to make a final. All I do now is live events… I like the atmosphere and there’s more prestige if you win. ” We wish him well.

The chip counts and seat draw for the final table are as follows:

Seat 1: Andrea Dalle Molle - 417,000
Seat 2: Per Linde - 4,980,000
Seat 3: Nikolas Liakos - 1,493,000
Seat 4: Mudassar Khan - 823,000
Seat 5: Kevin Iacofano - 1,844,000
Seat 6: John Eames - 1,060,000
Seat 7: Michael Tureniec - 1,310,000
Seat 8: Juha Helppi - 1470,000
