Serena Williams, who hasn’t competed since winning Wimbledon because of a foot injury, says she’s aiming to return to the tour in mid-May. Williams, who had her walking boot taken off sometime in the past few weeks, hopes to be back on the practice court soon. "My foot feels good and I'm starting to train right away, and I intend to be back for the French Open," Williams told the New York Post. If Williams, who is currently ranked No. 11, doesn't come back until Roland Garros, she'll see her ranking drop somewhere out of the Top 17, as she is defending points at Rome and Madrid.—Matthew Cronin
