INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (AP)—Veteran James Blake and upcoming players Milos Raonic of Canada and American Coco Vandeweghe are among those players granted wild cards into the main draws of the BNP Paribas Open.

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP)—Former No. 1 Dinara Safina won her first match since September when she beat Han Xinyun of China 6-2, 6-0 to start the Malaysian Open on Tuesday.

Safina has struggled to recover after her career was derailed by a back injury a year ago. The win ended a six-match losing streak.
